Between ‘Deja Vu’ tv channel and plenty of episodes of ‘Columbo’ on beta, my neighbor lives these pages right now. He can sit in the same playroom he has always watched television in (still lives at home, obviously), play his K-tel albums on the same record player as always, and go upstairs to the little-boy bedroom he has slept in every night of his life. if i showed him these pages, he would assume they were current, but if he accidentally saw a photo Susan Sommers or Sally Struthers from 2014, he would almost fall over in shock: “what the heck happened to herrrrrrrrrr!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!”

When i told him i was given a new office at work, he asked: “does it have a Lou Grant drawer?” ha.

That was when they had 57 channels and everything was on. That was good tv. I’m 52. I should know. Please Sir, can we have some more reality tv to watch. Yuck.

We apparently grew tired of Big Wally’s foaming action, as unlikely as that seems.

TV Guide’s Fall Preview ….. Peg Bundy’s favorite issue:

“Everything’s Coming Up Maggie”: high jinks ensue when Maggie – Chastity Bono – accidentally becomes vice president of the United States. Saturdays. Ooh, and look: “We Are Fami-lee”: a Chinese family with three children. Oh-ho-ho, I get it! “We are fami-LEE”!

oh yeah, Al loved the TV Guide too ……. when informed they could not afford a TV Guide anymore and to just use the newspaper, Al replies “Does the newspaper cheer? Does it jeer? Does it tell me what William Conrad is going to do next on Circus Of The Stars?”
