this stuff is familiar to me, one of my tasks at mcmahon publishing was to construct these kinds of charts (Not nearly as interesting as this one, of course, with pharma treating all kinds of stuff from diarrhea to dementia). we used to do them in quark – very time consuming.
An interesting note on legal/layout constraint; you can’t mess with the “actual size” of the pills shown when constructing. They must all be 100% – no exceptions or they won’t print it. Can be a challenge for the designer. I love the straightforward sans-serif type/alignment of the old pharmaceutical stuff.
