Notes From Das Boot 96

12/8/10 Hamburg, Germany

Germans do a lot of things right, sidewalk snow removal isn’t one of them. When we were in Bochum the sidewalks were a sheet of ice. No sand, no salt, no nothin’,  a real “lazy fare” attitude. When I slipped and almost fell (hilarious as that might have looked), I was told “It is winter”. Thanks, I wasn’t sure.

In the long history of stupid ska band names, this might be the worst (best). Ladies and gentlemen, I give you...Skabucks

Really, that’s so weird! Germans are normally really good at getting rid of snow, because if they don’t clear it up outside their house and then someone slips and hurts themself, it’s a case of, “Can you spell GERICHTLICHE ANKLAGE*?”
