Notes From Das Boot 84

Ghent. Belgium, 11/17/10

Ghent is a really cool old city, although the largest street here is about the size of an average bike path and the pedestrians seem to take great pride in wandering in front of moving vehicles. We’re playing the Handlesbeurs which is an old theater of some sort, that’s pretty cool. After show tonight we’re traveling to Wales where we will hopefully have time to visit the John Cale museum and see first hand the famous animatronic Velvet Underground installation.

Unless this is a store for clown clothing I not sure how good the name is. Everyone wants to look funny, right?

I was driving along the motorway the other day when my wife says ‘look at that car, they must be from Wales’ ‘Well how on earth would you know that?’ I replied. ‘Well there’s two young boys in the back seat and they’ve written on the window ‘stit ruoy su wohs’…

Enjoy the language and Lava Bread…
