It’s impossible to summarize these guys in a couple of sentences. How about, “avant garde, English psychedelic pop” It’s from their second album The Doughnut In Granny’s Greenhouse (Liberty, 1968) [click on song title to listen]

So with a band name like that and a title to suit, I looked these fellahs up. Granny’s Greenhouse is 60′s British obscure slang for ‘outhouse’, that being a toilet. To leave a doughnut in the said greenhouse doesn’t leave much to the imagination. The US version of the album was supposedly retitled ‘Urban Spaceman’, probs cuz of the toilet gag…
“The Doughnut In Granny’s Greenhouse” is a killer album title!
They sound like Syd Barrett on a good day, which is great.
